About Me

I have been studying bodywork and helping people heal for over 20 years.

After qualifying in holistic massage and aromatherapy, I went searching for something more inspiring than what I was offered in the UK. I was more interested in actually helping the body heal long-term rather than just making it feel better short-term. Although I believed this was possible, I was yet to experience an example of this.

In Auroville, South India I met a Frenchman named Gupi who had been there meditating and “talking to bodies” as he called it, for more than 35 years. I was inspired  by his approach to physical well-being, I found it immediately effective and profoundly holistic, just what I was looking for and even more amazing than I thought possible. I studied Bengali Massage with him and he introduced me to Hanna Somatics. Since then I have been committed to sharing this work and offering Bengali Massage in Bristol professionally since 2005.

“My work helps the body heal long-term rather than just making it feel better short-term.

Combining my extensive training in Massage, Hannah Somatics & Bowen Therapy I create programmes for clients that heal, release & rehabilite the body long-term.”

I have been working with Hanna Somatics in my own practice since being introduced to it.  I embarked on my professional training in 2011 and qualified in 2013, since then I have fully embraced this practice and am really enjoy teaching it to others.

In 2018 I completed my training in Bowen Technique with John Wilks of Bowtech. I felt that this modality was extremely useful when working with clients who have limited mobility or who are less able to engage with Hanna Somatics. I now. combine these two techniques in my one-to-one sessions - using the powerful and passive techniques from Bowen, with the long-term change that can come from the Hanna Somatics work when done at home.
